We did a 3-day walking safari with camping in Murchison Falls National Park, and honestly it went way beyond what I expected. This wasn’t a typical safari where you just sit in a car. Walking through the bush, being that close to nature, no crowds around—just you, the landscape, and the sounds—was something completely different. Hard to describe unless you experience it. The camp setup was great. Everything worked, the staff were super friendly, and the whole thing felt very relaxed but still well organized. We had 3 rangers with us the whole time, so safety was never a concern, even out in the wild. Nights were something else. Lying in the tent and hearing animals moving around, footsteps in the bush, distant roaring… it’s a bit surreal, but at the same time absolutely breathtaking. You really feel like you’re part of the environment, not just watching it. I also love when you can see real passion in what people do, and Juraj with Lindiwe (business owners) are textbook example of that. They demonstrate it in every detail of the experience. We went on a Murchison Falls safari in autumn 2023. In addition to an excellent safari, we visited the Budongo Chimpanzee Forest on the way to the park, took a boat trip from Murchison Falls, and explored the shores of Lake Albert, which were rich in flora and fauna. The tented accommodation and food exceeded our expectations. The location was superb—we had the area entirely to ourselves. The tour company has a warm, family-like atmosphere. The owner has over 20 years of experience in Africa, and the staff were skilled, professional, and clearly enjoyed working together. The walking safari was a wonderful bonus. On trips to Africa, you usually spend a lot of time in vehicles covering long distances, so we really appreciated spending hours on foot in such an exciting environment.
